How do you grow a pumpkin in a drought?
Regionally Collector has an average rainfall of 60mm or so over January. This past January we had less than 10mm and not a great deal in December or February so far. Many in our region have had to buy in water.
That said, my own pumpkin patch is doing ok surviving on grey water and some around the place are still able to irrigate from dams because of the good rainfall in mid-2013.
The answer to the question posed is with great difficulty and it is hoped that the Autumn rains bring much needed respite to a currently parched land.
