Parking and Vehicle Movement

The Visitor Car Park is located in George Street and is only a 200m walk to the festival.

Traffic Control Attendants will assist the flow of traffic and drivers are required to obey directions given to them by the Traffic Control Attendants, Police and Emergency Service Volunteers.

Disabled Car Parking Facilities will be available in Lorn Street – see our Accessibility Page

Vehicle Movement Restrictions will be in place between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm in the general Pumpkin Festival site.

This means that only vehicles authorised for very specific purposes will be allowed to move around the Festival site during this period.  These rules are put in place for obvious safety reasons and are an important part of the festival’s risk management process for Council Approval and Traffic Management Planning.

Road closure barriers will be in place after 8:00 am and all stallholders and exhibitors are advised that the best way to access the festival after 8:00 am is from the eastern end of Bourke Street.

For those coming via the Federal Highway, the best route is to use the Church Street Exit (northern/Glbn side) and then take first left turn into Campbell Street, then left into Goulburn Street and follow this all the way around to the Collector Oval in Bourke Street.
